Outing with my Best Friend..^^

3 days before 2010 Chinese New Year, I have accompanied my best friend went shopping and as well as to buy some CNY things. At first I never thought that I will no need to drive, so I drove to her house, then she suddenly told me that she will drive, because she wants to familiar the driving condition in Kuching since she has been long time studying else where and so didn't drive at here. Haha, in my friends list, she is the second "female" friend that fetched me.

Hmm, first time been fetched by my this best friend, at first quite worry about my friend driving skill, wandering will she drifts or drives recklessly. However, she impressed me how steady is her driving skill, I didn't feel afraid at all. Her skill is even better than some guy friends that I know, because althought she also like to drive fast, she managed to control the speeding, slowing, braking and cornering perfectly, keeping the damage on the car to the most minimum amount. Most importantly is that she drives safely.

I was been asked by my friend, am I ok that I was fetch by a girl? Hmm, I do not consider been fetched by girl something that humiliating guy's pride, so I do not mind. Quite enjoying been fetched by my friend actually, hope that next time still can have such chances. Haha...but with a pretty girl (super model level pretty girl le) like my best friend fetched me, I was been targeted by alot people eyes, feeling like been assumed that I bulliying a pretty girl...zzZ..

Preparing for Chinese New Year even I'm Busy..

Chinese New Year (CNY) is coming in few more days, but a lot of things not yet buy due to insufficient of time. Project that carry on my shoulder seems heavier and tougher than i imagined, causing me to spend longer time than i have planned to do it. The important part is that i will have to carry the project pressure during the coming CNY. But no matter how, few days ago, i decided to let it down for few days and help out my family to welcome CNY. CNY is an important day to chinese, and i shall celebrate it happily.

Cleaning this and that, wishing to finish everything as soon as possible, my work's efficiency increased by at least double. Few days of hard work cleaning my "traditional" house, causing me to feel exhausted. However, seeing the cleanliness of the house made me feel that it is worth to be tired. But there are still works waiting for me, bake cake..zzZ...luckily i like to cook...^^

Hmm, talking about bake cake, this year baked cakes showed that my skill starts rusting already. Although the cakes were not "beautiful", but they still taste good as last time, so they still can be used to serve guests that come visit during CNY. Appearance might not nice, but i guarantee the taste still maintain delicious. Haha...

Do not talk much about this topic, because i already lost interest in celebrating it "glamorously". Haha, forget to talk about Valentine's day. This year 2010, very coincide that CNY and Valentine's day fall on the same day. Hence, i wish to have a memorable Valentine's day more than CNY. Hmm, i wander will my friends celebrating CNY or Valentine's day???

Anyway i shall keep my curiousity for this moment of time. Hereby, i wish everyone who celebrate CNY a prosperous Chinese New Year and Happy Valentine's as well. For who got "partner", do not let go of Valentine's day celebration just because wants to celebrate CNY..^^

Talent Scounting

8 February 2010, the first time i attended a very professional job's interview in my life. Hmm, may be i should said it was an extraordinary talent scouting instead of 'interview'. That was the first time in my life where i was been forced to think non stop in the short period of few hours. For the past 24 years, i never came to the situation where i need to think using my brain that much in such short period of time.

It was a scholarship program organized by a big company and it was offered to local fresh graduates. In my class, less than 10 percent of the coursemates has applied and been selected for the final interview. And very lucky in a way, i was the first person to be interviewed. Reached there, with no feeling at all and without preparation, i stepped into the company door. I met the HR officer-in-charge, she told me that it is not an ordinary interview, it was actually a talent scouting and i will be interviewed by 2 high level executives, the company's HR director and CEO. "Ohh, ok", a simple respond i gave the officer. Still no feeling at all, just hope that i can end the interview faster because i was starving since i went there directly after lecture classes.

Firstly, i met the HR director, first impression i already knew that i will have a "happy" time dealing with his "interesting" questions. At first i managed to answered his question clearly and calmly, but slowly his question became harder to answer. Just as expected, his question cannot be answered correctly no matter how i try to turn the point. I was been given pressure and pressure, at the end, i start cannot answer his question. His question seems very tricky, because no matter i answer 'yes' or i answer 'no', and gave him the reason, the answer would not be truely correct. But i was not that lazy to think at that time, i twisted my mind and gave him an answer that is not the answer to his question, but the answer will fulfill the requirement of the question in indirect way. I think my answer impressed him in some points, so he decided to end the interview session. I came out from the room and rest for awhile, and i'm hungry. Haha..

I calm down my mind and met the CFO. This part of interview althought didn't work as well as i hoped, but at least much better than the interview with the HR director. I did managed to answer the CFO question with his expected point. This part of interview, at least i can score more than 80% out of 100%, i think. Hmm, one thing i realized from the interview was that they hope to seek for future managerial level employee, not the ordinary type of engineer. More indirect thing observed from the interview is that they hope to look for people that they can see things a CFO can see, a person who can see through the eyes of an 50 year-old successful guy eyes, standing tall in the world. Wow, what a challenging task for fresh graduates.

After the interview session, the officer asked me to stay until all the candidates done the interview as they will give us a simple presentation after that. They asked me to online at their computer lab while waiting. More important thing is, i'm on diet...again...haha, good to help me keep fit (actually they got cafeteria, but i forgotten about it)...
