Trip's day 11 - 1/6/10

We spent the day on Genting Highland, same as the night before, they went to casino while I went back to hotel room to pack my thing, online using my friend's laptop and take bath. Around 11.30am, we start our journey returning to KL Sentral. I think we didn't take lunch that day, then reached KL Sentral, we straight took trains to Maluri, a place where one of our friend staying.

Then late evening, she fetched us to Tasik Selatan to take KLIA transit to go airport. However, we were taking Airasia flight so we have to change to take bus when we reached Salak Tinggi station. The KLIA transit can consider as the most nice train available in Malaysia, but the fare is a bit expensive.

KLIA transit, nice environment

Since we were taking Airasia flight, so we have to went to LCCT terminal. At LCCT terminal, we first went to Mc'D for dinner, sat at there for around 2 hours. After that we changed the venue to the Coffee Bean where we sat at there for the rest of the night. I didn't sleep at all that night, and all the things accompanied me that time was my writing pad, my phone ( Low batt and critical, was OFF after I'm sure I won't receive any important sms that night) and my two friends that coming back home as well.

A drink called "Americano", tastes super bitter.

It was a nice experience staying a night at the airport. Early in the morning, we checked-in for flight 5.30am and flew back home. It was a nice trip after all..^^

Things that accompanied me that night when my friends were not around in Coffee Bean. They did took a short nap on the table and went to nearest Kopitiam for supper.

Trip's day 10 - 31/5/10

It was a day where I miscalculated the timing for the journey and asked my friends to wake up early, so end up we reached KL sentral 1 hour earlier as planned. We having Mc'D at there as our brunch and took the 11.30am bus to Genting.

To enjoy the ride in cable car (also known as Skyway), we took the bus until the mid-mountain area and changed to cable car. The Genting cable car was known as the longest cable car in South East Asia, travelling through about 3.38km.

Since most of us been to Genting before so the trip at there mostly consider boring, except when my friends are spending their time in two of the available casino at there, De Genting (also known as Starworld) and Monte Carlo casino. Hmm, it was not a lucky day for them because they keep on losing, however they didn't lost much. I didn't gamble this time because I felt that it was not my day and I also have a bad feeling about it.

They stay in the casino until quite late while I slept in the room early. For me, Genting is nothing special anymore but a place for gambling and gambling is not a good activities. It can help you gain extra pocket money, but it also can cause people to lost their life if addicted.

Oh ya, we met a Korean guy, around the age of 55, travelling alone without any beg. He has been travelling around the world for 2 months and he will keep on travelling for the coming 6 months. All of my friends envy his style of journey but I was not. For me, I prefer travelling with my loved one, just the two of us would be enough...^^

Trip's day 9 - 30/5/10

Day 9, a day in our trip where things get messy, in the end we decided to enjoy the morning as each of ourselves prefer. So as, this is a day where I went shopping again. I was tired already due to the rushing of the trip so I decided to went to the nearest shopping mall, enjoy awhile of shopping and then back home to the hotel to rest.

Morning after breakfast together, four of us separated into 3 directions, one of us went to Klang, another two of us went to One Utama and I went to Time Square. After a short while of shopping and I bought some bread, walking back to the hotel. Two of my friend came back around 4pm when I was taking my nap. Another one came back quite late, around 6.30pm.

That evening we got appointment with one of our university coursemates and we dinner together with her. After dinner, we went back our hotel to pack our laugauges and ready for the night time outing. One of our friend in KL guide us to a place known as "The Lookout Point", it is located on a mountain and it is for people to view KL's night scenes. We have some drinks at the Gasolin Cafe and then went back hotel.

It was indeed a pretty view of KL...^^

Trip's day 8 - 29/5/10

A simple day of our trip, with one word "shopping". Although the word "shopping" was used, but it seems that I was the one shopped the most at there. Our travelling group consists mainly of 4 guys, so like my friend he said "shopping is boring for most guys. some more if they were asked to shop together with other guys, no girls around". As a guy, I do agree what he said in some point. haha..

That day, after simple breakfast, we walked to a lot shopping malls, started with Time Square, Lowyat, Bukit Bintang, Sungai Wang, Pavillion and etc. Among the malls, we spent most of the time in Lowyat, shopping for electronic devices. Then, we also went to KL Sentral to get the next next day ticket to go Genting Highland.

Then late evening we went to Mid Valley for a walk. At there, we having dinner and buy some local cookies, etc. Before we went back to the hotel, we went to the Petalling Street for a walk as well. It was a famous street and crowded. Near there, I have bought a software that I wanted.

Trip's day 7 - 28/5/10

The morning on Cameron, we first went for brunch. Then, we visited a strawberries farm, experienced the picking of strawberries. There are a few strawberries farm and finally we chosen the one at Ringlet. At there, if you picked the strawberries, then you must buy it. At there also it was located a bee farm where we saw how people pet the bees and obtaining the honey.

The second destination on Cameron was to buy souvenir, visiting other kind of farms and the time tunnel. Most of the souvenirs on Cameron have strawberries as their symbolic item.

We also went to the BOH teh farm and tasted a few more nice " food" on Cameron. Besides the strawberries, the another two kind of food that gave me deep impression are the sweet corn that can be eaten uncooked and the "Jambu Jeruk". I like the taste of the Jambu but I don't really like the taste of the sweet corn, may be it is weird for me to eat it uncooked.

After the farms visiting on Cameron, we continued our journey to Kuala Lumpur (also known as KL). I took a drive of 2 and a half hours drive from the mountain feet of Cameron to KL. It was the first time I drive in such nice Highway and it was a very nice experience.

In KL, we met our friend at Sunway Pyramid first because we were afraid that we drive to the wrong direction. She brought us to a hotel named "Hotel No.1" in Pudu. That night, after having supper with her, we went back to the hotel and rest early.

Trip's day 6 - 27/5/10

This day is the day where we all woke up very early in the morning, before 7.30am. I think I woke up around 7.30am, the first one woke up and clean up. Around 8.15am we start our drive to Klang.

Actually in our planning, Klang was just a stop point for us. We only planned to try the famous Bak Kuk Teh and help one of my friend to find his thing, a remote control car accessories. It was a very unlucky day for us because we get lost in Klang due to its messy traffic. Besides that, the famous Bak Kuk Teh shop also out of business and we hardly find the shop my friend wanted to go.

After hours of wandering around in Klang city only then we accomplished our missions at there. Leaving Klang, we straight went to Cameron Highland, Pahang. Following the old road, which is shorther in distance but curvy and curly, we reached the top of the mountain after 1 hour of drive. On middle of the mountain, we stopped at a beautiful waterfall.

We reached Tanah Rata of Cameron by late of that evening, and we were staying at Hotel Titiwangsa at there which cost us RM 88/- per night during weekday. Cameron was divided into 3 parts, that are BrinChang, Tanah Rata and Ringlet.

Night time, we walked around the area of Tanah Rata and having steamboat at there. The steamboat was quite nice and not so expensive also. After that, we went for a walk again, feeling the cold breeze surrounding us, framing the beautiful night scenes into our eyes and also buying souvenirs.

Trip's day 5 - 26/5/10

Day 5 of the trip was a simple day, where we went to A Farmaso Resort and played waterworld activities. Besides that, we also dropped by a few its famous attractive venues, such as the cowboy city. Some of the photos I taken at there are:

On our way back to the hotel, we went to the Jusco, the largest shopping mall available in Malacca. At there also we have settled our dinner in Station Kopitiam. The drinks at there are quite nice and the prices are acceptable.

That night, we didn't went to any other places but stay inside the hotel to pack our things. We were suppose to sleep early that night because we need to start our journey early next morning, but some of my friends cannot sleep early due to their habits..^^

Trip's day 4 - 25/5/10

Early in the morning, after breakfast, we straight onto the highway and drive to Malacca. The drive to Malacca took around 3 hours and I used my time wisely, that is slept in the car.

First thing we do after reached Malacca is to go to eat Chicken Rice Ball for lunch. Actually I didn't feel anything special about it because it is like they are just shaping the rice into small balls like table tennis balls. After lunch, we went to A Farmosa palace for a look, then we walked to Red House. On the way, we played with snake and took photo with it.

Then, we went to the famous Jonker Street, at there we manage to buy some souvenirs and local cookies. Slowly then we walked back to the shopping mall where our car was parked. The mall was called Dataran Pahlawan. At night, our friend's friend brought us for dinner and I manage to see my friend cry due to the spiciness of a "Super Spicy" sausage. We also went for satay celup and cuci tiram as our supper.

Our last destination of the day was the Air Panas Gadek at Tampin, Malacca. "Air Panas" means hot spring in Malay. The hot spring was so hot, until we can sweat seriously even we just put our feet into it. However, the hot spring helped us to relax our tired feet and we felt our feet much comfortable after that.

One of the most memorable thing in Malacca was the cake we ate. In Dataran Pahlawan, there is a shop called "Nadeja cafe", which serves as cake house. The cake at there was the most most delicious cake I ever ate before. The cake was made from slices of pancakes and cream, it was so smooth and it was like it will melt inside the mouth. Since I love to cook and etc, if next time got chance, sure I'll try to make it. Haha...

Trip's day 3 - 24/5/10

The third day of my trip was mostly focus on shopping. We first went to Orchard then to Bugis for shopping. After shopping, we went to Marina Bay then walked for 3 stations to go to City Hall. Actually this is  because we went to the wrong station to find the statue of Merlion, the symbolic of Singapore. Anyway, it was quite impressive way.

The photo of Merlion.

That evening, we have dinner together with my uncle before I leave Singapore and back to Johor Bahru, Malaysia. Some of the dishes I ate in Singapore are:

Trip's day 2 - 23/5/10

The second day of our trip, 8am we went to Vivo City located at Harbour Front, Singapore. Dragging our tired feet, we met our friend's cousin at there and she will be joining us that day. Vivo City is also a big shopping mall and it is the entrance to Sentosa Island as well, that is the main destination of the day.

At Vivo City, while waiting for another friend's friend who is in Singapore, his cousin helped us to take photos around there. Then, we all straight went to Sentosa Island, island of joyes in Singapore. One of the photo edited by her is:

My friends and I spent almost whole day in Sentosa Island. We went to see the casino, Universal Studio, the Sentosa's Merlion, then we went to play luge, skyride and etc. Besides that, we also went into the underwater world to see sea creatures and watch dolphins doing performance. Of course, we didn't miss the  beautiness of the beach.

The trip of the day didn't end like that, after enjoyment in Sentosa Island, we went to China Town for a walk and then went for night safari. Photo of China Town is as follow:

The China Town walk is quite fun but the night safari was disappointed. The ticket was expensive but the animal show is too old fashioned and the tram ride to see animal is too dark.

Overall of the trip, I think the second day was the most tiring but quite enjoyed. Haha..

Trip's day 1 - 22/5/10

Early in the morning, I departed from my house, went to a nearby coffee shop for breakfast. Then, I reached Kuching International Airport, met my friends and checked-in together. Our first destination was to Singapore, the country of Merlion.

Before we went to Singapore, we have been to my friend's sister house located in Skudai, Johor Bahru. Then, my friend fetch us to a nearby place for lunch first. We didn't stay long in Johor Bahru because it actually was stop point in our planning.

In the evening, we passed the emigration and officially reached our destination, Singapore. It was a horrible experience for me because it took a very long time and troublesome procedures. We have taken rides on buses, MRT (Mass Rapid Transit) and also taxi just to reach my uncle's house in Singapore.

Haha, the first thing I passed to my uncle is Kuching famous dishes called "Kolo Mee". It is a kind of noodles cooked and serve with "Char Siew" sauce as it main spices. "Char Siew" is a kind of BBQ pork in red colour and the BBQ sauce is collected from the drops of the pork oil during BBQ. Honestly, Kolo mee is a very delicious local dishes of Kuching. Even there are people who try to make such noodles when they back to their home town, they can't really make it tastes as delicious as it is in Kuching.

That night, my uncle brought us to Jurong Point and Marina Bay for dinner and a walk. Juring Point and Marina Bay are extremely large shopping mall in Singapore. Some more, Jurong Point is a interchange station for MRT and buses. Marina Bay on the other hand is a place in Singapore where beautiful night scenes are to be found.

And in this night as well, I started to like the environment and the life in Singapore already. The standard of life in Singapore is very high, very modern, very convenient and most importantly, they are efficient in almost everything.

Below is the photo of my friends, my uncle and me taken at Marina Bay.

Then this is the photo of the Sky Garden building we saw at Marina Bay as well.

Very nice right, next time when got chance, I'm going to bring my loved one and my family go there together. But we will just go there for vacation and shopping, not staying there permanently..^^
